About Athena
Hello! My name is Athena Fokaidis, PhD. I am an educator and writing expert who enjoys helping people use words to achieve their goals. I work with individuals, businesses, and schools on delivering clear and purposeful writing.
Throughout my career teaching language in the US and France, I have been motivated by the journey to a final draft. My consulting approach draws inspiration from the process-writing method, a proven strategy that frames writing as a series of steps. When working with writers to identify areas for revision, I have seen the transformative results of viewing a piece of writing as a collection of moving parts.
Revisiting work empowers writers to take ownership of their writing and makes for a stronger final draft. Writers deliver their ideas with clarity, confidence, and intention!
That is why I designed The Re/Writing Lab, a consulting practice for the modern storyteller who welcomes the re/write!
